Now, you may be wondering what exactly is a styled wedding shoot? Even though it may LOOK like a real wedding, it is important to realize that it’s not. A styled shoot is an amazing group effort between a variety of highly skilled vendors. We all come together to showcase beautiful and unique details to inspire our couples.

 On an actual wedding day, your vendors have many different elements and surprises to contend with. For example, extreme weather or family members running behind schedule. Even things entirely out of their control like a freak power outage! A styled wedding shoot is controlled and designed to perfection. It’s main purpose to showcase the talents of the vendors. To express their creativity in new and exciting way. Pushing the boundaries of what can be done.

Of course, the ultimate goal is to increase everyone’s exposure. Because of the small scale setup, each vendor is able to go over the top. They can truly showcase their best product with photographers to shoot many detailed photographs in the best lighting. Everyone will be rewarded with professional photos, used for marketing purposes which allows for many cross-promotions on social media.

What people do not realize is that styled wedding shoots take as much teamwork and organization as an actual wedding. From designing the initial concept to selecting the perfect color scheme and materials. It is very detail oriented and thankfully this is something Weddings & Events by Raina excels at!

Delighting in the whimsical feel of balloons, we wanted to create a modern, industrial MoMA style feel for this faux wedding. We assembled an incredible crew and got to work!

Balloons!!

We called upon the highly skilled balloon artists and twisters of Creativity in Balloons. They were instrumental in the creation of the design. With their imagination and balloon knowhow we were able to convert the Music City Event Center into a whimsical wonderland.

Our amazing, off-beat bride and groom, Holly and Brandon Ragsdale, had a delightful time frolicking amongst our flowers and inflatables!

That Dress!!

Holly looked absolutely stunning in her show-stopping ballgown. It featured a sheer bodice of Swarovski crystals and beading atop a voluminous tulle skirt from Sottero-Midgley. The White Room was gracious enough to allow us to borrow this dazzling Allen dress for the styled shoot.

That Suit!!

Brandon was handsome in a cobalt suit from Street Tuxedo. We opted to go without a tie for a formal, yet casual look. This proved that as a groom you can be stylish AND comfortable all at once.

Marble Escort Cards

Our tables would not be complete without escort cards. Ours were hand crafted from marble tiles to carefully detail the arrangement of each guests placement. Paired with the beautiful hand painted invitation suite created exclusively by Tocci Calligraphy. This is the first impression that your guests will receive. By sending custom designed invitations, you are also gifting your guests with a keepsake piece of art. We are sure that they will treasure it forever.

The Stationery

Elegant and modern copper pipe and acrylic signage for the styled wedding shoot was created entirely by hand by The Artisan Abode. They will design and build anything to suit your event. It doesn’t matter what you might require. anything from signage to aisle runners detailing your vows or favorite bible verse. From classic to modern calligraphy, they can personalize anything you wish.

Signature Cocktails

Customizing a drink menu to match your personality as a couple it what Concoctions Bartending does best! Not only are their bar displays photo ready, but they are always crowd pleasingly delicious as well.

The “Blushing Bride.” A blend of Harmonie liquor, vodka, white cranberry juice and lemon was a favorite of our “bride” Holly. Our “groom” Brandon showed a preference for the blackberry thyme “Love Spritzer.”

The Incredible Cake!!

Now, a party wouldn’t be complete without a show stopper of a cake. And as always, Oh Crumbs! Bakery never fails to amaze and delight us with their creative creations. We asked her to combine our wonky concept. We took two different cakes, some geode cookies and a color scheme and she created something marvelous!

To supplement our original inspiration board we created a mini cake inspo board. We wanted to give Oh Crumbs Bakery a better sense of exactly what we had in mind. We gave her the image on the left. This combination was our inspiration. What she produced on the right was a glorious creation of our vision come to life! She WOWed us with this amazing cake and absolutely delicious macarons in strawberry, blackberry, French vanilla and maple bacon.

Photography and Planning are Essential!!

Of course, when it is photographed by the best in the business, Ivory Door Studio, it looks way more impressive! Professional photography has got to be one of the most valuable investments. Next to an experienced wedding planner, of course. Be sure to plan ahead for both when you are creating your wedding day budget. This dynamic duo can make or break your event.

Needless to say, we had to stop Brandon from absconding with the cake! Following that Holly and her sweet husband proceeded to consume all the delicious macarons. We can’t blame them! Having sampled them in the past we know how delicious they can be.

Rentals & Catering

Thanks to Southern Events Party & Event Rentals, we were able to create an elegant and upscale look. We dressed the sweetheart table with a free flowing balloon semi arch. We accented the colorful swirled tablecloth with marble chargers to match the cake. Added pops of color with the napkins to really show off the marble seating cards. We finished off the overall look with square bottomed stemware. Then, Holly and Brandon sat down to taste some of the incredible treats provided by Entre-Nous Catering.

Florals

Now, let’s just take a moment to talk about this absolutely stunning horizontal cascading bouquet created by Curry & Company Events. This stunning array of florals featured a range of textures and colors. Everything from navy centered white anemones to beautiful blush garden roses. Even scarlet carnations accented by greenery ranging widely throughout the entire spectrum of the hue.

Drapery & Lighting

Our concept, a modern metallic MoMA inspired wedding was truly brought to fruition. Especially once we had our specialty lighting and drapery in place compliments of Southern SKY.

We accented our tables in gold, copper and rose gold complimenting with edgy geometrics, slate, marble and glass. The over all composition softened up with cascading florals and balloons galore.

Hair and Makeup

Seeing as how it was the star of the show… Let’s have a look at that amazing wedding gown one more time!! Holly’s overall look was brought together by the intricate hair braiding and makeup styling. Thanks to the incredible skills of Primp This she looked stunning!
