How They Met

Josh and Blaire are such a fun couple! They could hardly contain their excitement in seeing each other for the first time on the big day. How did they meet? They both swiped right and it was a Tinder match made in heaven (or cyberspace). Either way, we are so glad that they met!

The Proposal

Blaire’s father Bubba, in keeping with a tradition that they had since she was a little girl, took her to have her nails done on Valentine’s Day. Usually this would be followed by lunch or dinner with his baby girl, but Dad and Josh had other plans…its safe to say that Blaire was completely surprised when Josh appeared to propose!

The First Look

However, prior to her walk down the aisle, Blaire opted to have a first look with her father and older brother. This was the SWEETEST moment! We very highly recommend that everyone have parents, grandparents, siblings for a first look if you choose not to see your future spouse before your walk down the aisle.

The Sweetest Little Church

And speaking of walking down the aisle, Josh and Blaire opted to get married on the water at the prettiest little church we have ever seen. The Cedar Creek Church, located at the Cedar Creek Yacht Club was teeming with wildlife from elegant cranes to beautiful songbirds. Even the fish seemed to sense how special the day was and were celebrating as well.

The ceremony was presided over by pastor and family friend, James Tucker.

Following the ceremony, as is tradition at the Cedar Creek Yacht Club, the bell is rung as the happy couple is pronounced husband and wife. The bride’s younger cousins were all to happy to oblige in this task!

Of course, it was the groom’s niece who stole the show. As she strolled down the aisle she took time informing everyone that she was NOT a flower girl, she was a fairy princess…and clearly a fairy princess cannot be without her magical wand.

The Lovely Details

Some of the more touching details included in their wedding day were crystal vases on the reception tables that were passed down through the generations. The cut crystal caught the light and sprinkled joyous rainbows over every surface. Several sterling vases that were also family heirlooms were also featured. Both were accented by vibrant seasonal flowers.

Our favorite detail of all had to be the bouquets, however. The peonies came from her grandmother’s memorial site and wrapped around Blaire’s bouquet was her grandfather’s pocket watch. This way they could both walk their granddaughter down the aisle.

The Amazing Bridal Party!

Special credit goes to this amazing bridal party, too!! Despite the ridiculous heat and humidity they remained in high spirits keeping all of us laughing so hard we were in tears. We can’t remember the last time we enjoyed a bridal party as much as this fantastic group of gentlemen and ladies.

Sweet Treats

The incredibly delicious cake was made of of a variety of delectable flavors, however, being a UT fan, Blaire made it quite clear that Josh’s LSU cake, despite just how incredible this crawfish boil pot looked and tasted, couldn’t possibly be as delicious as her beautiful wedding cake. The jesting was all in good fun of course. The same cake artist created both and not a slice was left to be had by the end of the day. It was absolutely devoured because her cakes are just that good!

Dancing the Night Away

Everyone danced until the sun slowly sank into the harbor. Especially the groom who had choreographed a dance with his groom’s gang especially for the bride who is a big Boyz II Men fan…

Stunning Send Off into the Sunset

Blaire and Josh raced through pom-pom shaking guests, which is our new favorite send off for venues that do not permit fireworks. Everyone laughed and cheered as they made their way to the boat awaiting the newlyweds.

Waving as their sailed away into the sunset, this wedding day truly had a Hollywood ending!
