The big question is, WHY should you drape? To be honest, we feel that it is one of the best ways to transform a space from a bare bones venue into something special and entirely unique. The simplest way to achieve this is with addition of great fabric and beautiful lighting.

Every bride loves a beautifully set tent, but we also like to take it one step further by adding a specialty lighting and drape. String lighting creates a soft glow for a romantic ambiance and whether you choose to simply drape the side poles on your frame tent or to line the entire interior in drapery, it will create a delicately classic liner interior essential for any Southern wedding.

At one wedding that we planned at Houston Station, we used draping to direct the room to the ceremony space. Following the ceremony we turned the room created from drapery and candlelight to graceful swags and flows of fabric light with colorful uplighting before the reception to open up the room again. Resizing the room and using candlelight helped make the ceremony feel intimate and shifted focus to the bride as she walked through the draped doorway and hall. After, TN Event Designs reworked the drape and added in uplighting, it completely redesigned the room for the reception and highlighted the floral centerpieces and dance floor. Because of this, draping is an effective way to build a temporary, yet elegant barrier within the event space creating something entirely unique.
