Sarah and Eric’s progressive wedding began at a Speakeasy and made its way to the Nashville Sounds baseball game much to the delight of their guests!

It all began when these two exes turned friends began a company together. Denim & Spirits is steeped in a love of music and style. They sourced their inspiration then blended that with their love of fashion. From there they meshed it with a modern approach to Nashville style. Create something that transcends time. What began as a passion project blossomed into a passion for each other. Two exes who fell in love while starting up their own designer denim business, Denim & Spirits. All the celebrity chefs, music stars and other celebs with style can be found donning their denim.

To say we were excited about planning the wedding for this crazy creative couple would be an understatement. We could hardly contain ourselves as Sarah and Eric revealed their vision of a progressive wedding.

Progressive Wedding Location #1 – Rosemary

Sarah and Eric’s progressive wedding began at our first location. A speakeasy bar. Rosemary & Beauty Queen is unassuming from the outside, guests actually wondered if they were in the correct place or just someone’s home in East Nashville. However, upon entering Rosemary, they were transported back to another time in this converted historic Victorian home. Dark wood and stained glass accented the uniquely Nashville vibe.

Creative cocktails were enjoyed as guests assembled for the nuptials. The ceremony was presided over by their friend and loyal customer Ming Chen. Yep. THAT Ming Chen. Of “The Comic Book Guys” fame.

Decked out in Denim & Spirits pants and shirt he began the ceremony with a laugh. “Standing before you, on your wedding day, you are holding hands with the one person who will be the most likely suspect in your murder.” Oddly enough, if you know the bride and groom, this is perfect for them. They are nerdy in all the best ways. They passionately love their fandoms and each other. It was just kooky enough to be fitting.

Progressive Wedding Location #2 – Beauty Queen

Being that this is a progressive wedding, following the ceremony wedding guests were ushered over to Beauty Queen. The neighboring bar just happened to be located in a treehouse. However, instead of bar stools they have swings. These were a hit with guests of all ages! Guests gathered together to toast the new couple with pink champagne and good wishes. Many sweet stories were shared. Much love was passed along to them as they began this new chapter in their lives.

Denim & Spirits

We just have to take a quick moment to not only point out Ming Chen, the officiant’s shirt and pants. But Eric, the groom, wore a jacket that Sarah made for him for the occasion. For herself she styled this incredibly bad ass leather jacket. You want one. You know you do. (We sure do!)

The Wedding Rings

All the ladies couldn’t take their eyes off Sarah’s rings. Yep. Plural. According to Eric, he knew when he proposed that a simple solitaire was just not Sarah. He needed something unusual and unique as her. Eric presented her with an entire fleet of stackable rings. One for each day of the week since he loves her more each and every day.

The Gang

Selecting only their nearest and dearest to attend this was a very intimate affair. If you didn’t know everyone by the end of the day you left with many new friends. To say that this wasn’t a shy group is an understatement. Sarah and Eric are known for throwing their epic Christmas parties. To score an invite to their wedding where the list was super exclusive certainly was an honor!

Progressive Wedding Location #3 – First Horizon Park

Following Rosemary & Beauty Queen the progressive wedding did what they do. We progressed! Guests made their way to the luxury suites at First Horizon Park. They were able to dine on all their favorite ballpark foods. Watch the Nashville Sounds bat their way to victory. And celebrate Sarah and Eric’s love! As well as their love for baseball. Having been to every major league park together, they are now eagerly venturing to all the minor league parks as well. We couldn’t think of a more fitting location for their wedding reception.

The Lego Guest Book

Their Lego guest book was just so cute!! The goal was to have each guest create a mini figure that represents them. The plan following the wedding is to proudly display them in their home. Each figure would be labeled on the bottom. This way they will always know who is who. As guests made their way through the line they selected their torso, head, hair or hat, bottoms and an accessory. Once their mini-me was assembled it was placed in a small bag. Labeling it with their name and their mini-me name, they’re all set!

The Beautiful Flowers

The beautiful florals were all provided by Kelsey White Designs. From the bride’s flower crown and bouquet. To the many bud vases accenting the luxury suites at the ball park. Delicate touches filled with fragrant blooms decorated every surface. Poppies, peonies, ranunculus and carnations. Statice, wax flower and rosemary. The flowers perfume filled the space.

The Shag Cake

The wedding cake had a personality all its own. To say the least, Baked on 8th knocked it outta the park! The textured “shag” icing was definitely Instagram worthy. If only you could Instagram tastes. Trust us, it was so delicious! Almost a delicious as Sarah’s famous lemon bars. She is as talented a baker as she is a seamstress. These lemon bars where her grandmother’s recipe. Her grandmother’s confections make an appearance at all of Sarah and Eric’s parties.

Their Fabulous Favors

Mutual Weirdness Forever. We couldn’t think of a more fitting way to describe their union. Inside their fabulous favor boxes were jars of berry jam from Sarah’s family farm. There were action figurines from all their favorite fandoms. Baseball cards, of course, were also included and a beer, because, why not?!

The Nashville Sounds Game

Take me out to the ballgame. Take me out to the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack. I don’t care if I never get back. Talk about having an absolute blast at a wedding! We absolutely loved their out of the box thinking. Their desire to embrace all things they love. Simply buck the trends and do what THEY wanted to do. Having a progressive wedding that travels from location to location was an absolute delight for all in attendance!

And what would be a visit to the ballpark without getting a high five from Nash? He’s one hot chicken!!
