MacKenzie & Adam’s Romantic Stone Gate Farm Wedding
The Newlyweds
Her siren song lured him in. At least that is what Adam told people when they asked how he met MacKenzie at their Stone Gate Farm wedding.
MacKenzie was out celebrating with her sister who had just secured an overseas teaching position in Vietnam. Being as close as they are, she was sad to see her big sister go. She was happy for her at the same time. This was something she knew she always wanted.
The sisters decided to join a playful karaoke competition and when MacKenzie got up to sing, Adam was mesmerized. He said that he knew from that moment on that his life would never again be the same.
Knowing that he simply could not let her get away, Adam proposed after only a few short months. They just knew that they were meant to be together.
Ushered into the ceremony my her five nephews, MacKenzie appeared to be floating on a cloud…only having eyes for Adam. Whereas Adam, who couldn’t stop looking at his bride, just kept saying to his best man, “Wow. I still can’t believe she’s going to marry me. I am so lucky.”
Scented Send-Off
Following the ceremony, Adam & MacKenzie were pronounced husband and wife to the delighted cheers of their friends and family. As they walked back down the aisle they were greeted with a fragrant sprinkling of dried lavender. It was so lovely. All who were in attendance will think of this happy day anytime they smell lavender.
Guests entered the cedar lined barn at Stone Gate Farm. They were lead to their tables by a flower bedecked escort card board.
Personalized Favors
Placed at each seat was a bottle of rosemary infused olive oil. Created for each guest expressly for them by Adam and MacKenzie making their favors that much more personal.
MacKenzie and Adam love to cook together and consider themselves foodies. They love and appreciate a very wide variety of cuisines, but Italian is definitely their favorite.
Fragrant Florals
Each table setting was different. Some of the flowers were hand selected by the bride. Many other flowers and herbs were grown specifically for their wedding by MacKenzie’s wedding by her eight aunts. Each of her aunts and her mother teamed up together to create these beautiful and fragrant centerpieces and bouquets.
The Sweet and Savories
The delectable cake was created by Courtney’s Sweet Creations, complimented perfectly by the savory treats catered by CJ’s Restaurant and Catering. The guests enjoyed their meal so much. They all lined up for seconds once they went through the buffet line.
It was such a beautiful autumn day, crisp, cool and so full of love and celebration. Everyone will look back quite fondly at all the many happy memories created at Adam & MacKenzie’s wedding.
