Kathryn and Jacob’s Houston Station Wedding in Nashville

From The First Moment They Met…

Kathryn and Jacob first met in medical school where they were both studying to be anesthesiologists. Immediately they found they had so much in common, especially their love of community and volunteering with children’s organizations. Their hearts are full not only with love for one another, but for everyone they encounter spreading smiles as if they were contagious at their Houston Station Wedding! (Good thing they are doctors!!)

When we first met them they were newly engaged and absolutely thrilled by the idea of bringing all their friends and family to Nashville for their wedding. Jacob’s family would journey from Kentucky and Kathryn’s from Atlanta, we promised to show them just how amazing Music City can be!

Memories Made

Even thought it was a cold December day, their best guys and gals who made up their wedding party were such good sports as Nashville photographer, John Myers, took them all around downtown to ensure they had the best backdrops possible.

Being lovers of the “industrial modern” look photos on top of and underneath the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge were a must. We absolutely love the contrast of the soft flowing organza of the red bridesmaids dresses and the soft handwoven lace of Kathryn’s wedding gown against the concrete and steel of the iconic Nashville pedestrian bridge.

Florals and Decor

It wasn’t all steel and stone. Soft lighting from SouthernSKY. Sheer accent draping from Georgia Expo. We transformed the historic warehouse look Houston Station into a wedding dream. The simply exquisite florals by Wildflowers, LLC added the perfect finishing touches.

The contrast of metal and glass was juxtaposed against the soft winter florals. Beautiful winter white, highlighted by big blooms of red peonies. They really made a striking statement as guests entered the ceremony space.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry!

The night wouldn’t be complete without the one thing that this couple loves almost more than each other…CAKE! We (very happily) went to nearly a dozen different tastings. Searching for the perfect wedding cake with the tastiest icing. We found that with Jenifer Goode Cake Designs. The guests and caterers alike all raved about this being the best cake that they ever tasted. We were thrilled to hear this, of course. After an incredible meal featuring multiple courses, from Chef’s Market Catering, it was a hard act to follow!

The last of the cake had been eaten. Everyone had danced late into the evening. Their jubilant guests spilled outside into the cool winter air, sparklers in hand. They gave Kathryn and Jacob a send off complete with cheers and shouts that they won’t soon forget!
