Morgan and Libby’s romantic Harry Potter themed wedding at The Bedford was absolutely stunning. We are so glad that Mikaela Rose Photography was there to artfully capture all the beautiful details as they made memories with those that they love the most.

Say I love you. A lot. It covers a multitude of things. I know there are times over my marriage where it seemed like we had nothing else to say to each other but “I love you.” We meant it. We know it. If you don’t know what to say, say I love you and mean it. Think before you speak because you can’t unsay something and the words could burn an hole that will forever scar.

Sharing their love for all things Hogwarts they already knew they wanted to have a Harry Potter wedding. However, the way that Morgan proposed to Libby was just the sweetest thing. Morgan invited Libby on a hike. These ladies love to adventure together and explore the outdoors. Once they reached the summit of the mountain they were climbing Morgan got down on one knee and presented Libby with a storybook that she has handcrafted. It was hand written and illustrated detailing their journey of love. She wanted the complete fairytale right down to marrying the princess at the end. Libby simply could not say no to a proposal like! We certainly can’t blame her. Talk about romantic!!

The day began with the expert stylists at Glisson MedSpa Salon primping and pampering the beautiful brides and their maids. Everything from hair to expertly applied makeup…they certainly looked amazing!

Of course it’s happening inside your head, but why on earth should that mean it’s not real?
Nothing makes your wedding day seem all the more real than putting on your wedding gown. Once hair, makeup and bridal bonding were complete Libby and Morgan’s bridesmaids assisted them into the most beautiful bridal gowns. Each complimenting the other while still expressing each woman’s own personality and style. Morgan’s gown floated as she walked adding an ethereal air to her look. With long sheer sleeves, lace and a matching veil she absolutely looked like a princess. Libby wore a stunning form fitted lace dress with a sweep train and delicate capped sleeves. Detailed with tiny satin buttons and a sheer to her waist back she looked absolutely lovely. We know for sure that these ladies won’t be able to take their eyes off of each other!

Sneaking off to the Juliet balcony, Libby and Morgan shared a private moment for their first look prior to the wedding ceremony. From the love and delighted laughter, it was clear that these two were meant for one another. They were beyond excited to be wed!

Then I declare you bonded for life.
Everyone kept asking to see the brides engagement rings. Morgan’s was a bright red ruby to indicate her devotion to Gryffindor. Libby’s was a deep green emerald to indicate that she is Slytherin all the way. Perfectly perfect for a Harry Potter Wedding. With matching stackable wedding band sets to accent these beautiful gems, everyone was eager to have a look. Their engagement rings were perfectly paired with a thin diamond spacer ring and followed by their matching diamond wedding bands.

Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.
The bridesmaids were sorted into Slytherin or Gryffindor and wore matching house colors, but mismatched styles which created a delightful visual for a Harry Potter Wedding. These lovely ladies were carefully selected by each bride. After all family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what. This amazing girl gang proved that 100% over and over throughout the day.

We’ve heard of cheat sheets, but this was beyond adorable! Morgan wrote her unbreakable vow to Libby on her shoes. Libby wrote her unbreakable vow to Morgan on her shoes. Seeing them and then hearing them spoken aloud to one another truly filled everyone’s heart with love and joy.

And to further prove that they mean forever, Morgan and Libby both got matching tattoos…Always.

We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two faithful souls…
The Bedford was the perfect backdrop for their autumn wedding ceremony. The warm southern breezes blew through the front porch of this stunning brick structure as Celebrant Brynda Quinn united them in matrimony. The ceremony, sprinkled with Harry Potter references, brought laughter and happy tears to all in attendance. Once the rings were exchanged, they kissed and were pronounced married we are sure the cheers could be heard all the way to downtown Nashville!!

And without thinking, without planning it, without worrying about the fact that fifty people were watching, Morgan kissed her.…and then Libby was kissing her as she had never kissed her before, and Morgan was kissing her back, and it was blissful oblivion, better than firewhiskey; she was the only real thing in the world.

Certainly, a Harry Potter Wedding would not be complete without the novel being present. Morgan carefully constructed roses for both Slytherin and Gryffindor in crimson and emerald paper. She then accented each cluster with roses created from the pages of the novels that brought them together. Medallions were then added to each gorgeous bouquets. Prefects, Head Girls and house crests were added to each. These beautiful bouquets were the perfect accent to their beautiful gowns and bridesmaid dresses. We are sure that each woman who received one will treasure it always.

Upon entering Hogwarts, guests were greeted by a Niffler inviting them to sign the guestbook and share in his shiny stash of Lindt chocolates. Just keep away from the golden egg from the Tri-Wizards Tournament! That’s all his!! Next to greet the guests were Dobby the House-Elf, Hedwig and Scabbers. They were keeping an eye on the favors the brides collected for their guests that were sorted into each person’s appropriate houses.

Weddings & Events by Raina transformed The Bedford into the home of the Hogwarts Express. Playing off the exposed beams and elegant brick arches accented by crystal chandeliers, we seamlessly blended Slytherin and Gryffindor into the setting. With ivory floor length linens and white garden chairs to keep a bridal feel, tables were topped with stacks of the brides’ favorite novels as well as a floating candle suspended above willow branches and fairy lights. Black chargers with white porcelain plates topped with Slytherin green napkins and a ruby red Gryffindor goblet awaited each guest.

Hedwig made an appearance at the buffet overlooking all the potions, notions, sweets and savories offered by Chef Penelope’s Catering. the buffet featured all of the brides favorite dishes. With so many offerings the guests were well fed and glad to enjoy. Especially when it came to the signature cocktails that Chef Penelope’s team expertly crafted for them. Everything from Polyjuice Potion to Unicorn Blood, Wolfsbane Potion to the Amortentia. Yum!!

Jenifer’s Cakes created a beautiful french vanilla and snickerdoodle spice cake for Morgan and Libby’s wedding day. Talk about the perfect flavor combination for an autumn wedding. They were all too excited to cut into it, too! Decorated with golden snitches, this cake was almost as much of a showstopper as the brides were…especially with the snitches that carefully hovered above the cake throughout the evening.

Libby and Morgan are the perfect pair. We have never met two people who were better suited for one another than these two. Both free spirited, creative and incredibly caring. They absolutely love to read and play games of all kinds. Doesn’t matter if it’s a wild board game session, a journey off to new adventures or snuggling up and reading at home. They are all in! These two are just the sweetest couple. We absolutely loved how these two couldn’t stop showing off their wedding rings. They were just so thrilled to be married!

As always, Choice DJ gets everyone out onto the dance floor and KEEPS them there! They know exactly how to get people on their feet and having an absolute blast! We especially got a kick out of some of those moves their guests had. They certainly know how to groove!

Finally, it was time for these beautiful lovebirds to make their way to their honeymoon. Being sent off to loud cheers of delight and the raucous swinging and spinning of glow sticks, Morgan and Libby made their way to their car, celebrating their newlywed status as they began the next chapter of their love story.
