Mark and Fiona had been together for 10 years before they decided on an elopement in Tennessee. They met at a party where Mark, acting as DJ, played a song that Fiona wanted to know the name of. Smartly, he handed her his phone and told her to enter her number so he could text her a link to the song. Once he had her number, a friendship bloomed!

Fiona and Mark had always dreamed of seeing the world together. They couldn’t think of a more special way to tie the knot than eloping abroad. When they contacted our sister company, Elope In Tennessee we just knew Sugarfoot was the perfect place. Named for the term of sweethearts, kind souls who are solid friends who always have your back. When apart, your ‘sugarfoot’ is the one you think of who gives you warm fuzzy feelings. Perfect for an intimate lakeside venue near Nashville with their dense forests and limestone outcroppings. It was the perfect place for their elopement.

Exchanging of Rings

The exchange of wedding rings during the ceremony is a symbol of the couple’s commitment to each other. It is a representation of their eternal love for one another and a physical reminder of that special moment when two people pledge to spend their lives together. The exchange of rings was then followed by vows, promises, and declarations of love. From Scotland to Nashville

Their romantic elopement in Tennessee at Sugarfoot is one that will never be forgotten. The groom arrived looking handsome in traditional Scottish attire, and the bride looked ravishing in an elegant white gown. While there were no guests present, the bride and groom felt surrounded by love as they exchanged their vows amidst the beautiful scenery.

The Quaich Ceremony

The ceremony was even more special with the use of a two handled quaich, an ancient marriage cup used to symbolize unity, filled with whiskey to signify their commitment to each other. It was a truly unique way to show devotion and love for one another, and it created a moment that they will remember for years to come.

The Beautiful Bouquet

The bridal bouquet was a breathtaking combination of colors and textures. A beautiful display of orange and terracotta roses are complemented by the addition of silver dollar eucalyptus, ivory veronica and hints of seeded eucalyptus. The bright oranges and fiery terracottas evoke a feeling of warmth and passion, while the ivory blooms add a touch of sophistication to this beautiful bouquet. The silver dollar eucalyptus softened the overall look, making it appear effortlessly romantic and chic all at once.
