Traditionally rice was tossed when the newlyweds left their ceremony or reception. As weddings get more personalized and eco-friendly, couples are opting for some more creative ideas for their big send off. It’s now common to see a tossing of confetti, rose petals or dried lavender. Both during the moment after the couple says, “I do”, as well as when they leave the their reception.

Sparklers have become the go-to for wedding send-offs. They are beloved because of their celebratory vibe. But here are 10 other creative wedding send-off ideas you may want to consider for your wedding.

Wish Lanterns

In lieu of a traditional going-away toss, ask your guests to all light and release a wish lantern. Having guests write a wish for the newlyweds on them adds a lovely personal touch. Once the sun has set have everyone light their lantern and release it as a group. Your photographer will love this send off as it makes for truly beautiful photos!

Bubbles

You can never go wrong with this popular wedding send-off idea. Whether they are small or over-sized, children of all ages love blowing bubbles. For your wedding exit, give each guest a small container with a bubble wand. Have them blow bubble kisses at you as you leave your ceremony or reception. Fall Leaves
