Transforming the Ballroom

Set in the Roaring Twenties, the Gatsby style is all about glitz, glamour, and opulence. Bedecked with sparkling candlelight, opulent centerpieces and metallic gold decor. We transformed the ballroom for their Embassy Suites wedding into a setting Jay Gatsby himself would have admired. Sheena’s dress from The White Room and headpiece gave a nod to the lavish Gatsby era. Surely even Daisy Buchanan would have admired her elegance and grace.

Edible Centerpieces

Fruit laden floral centerpieces dripped with elegance and evoked a sense of festive majesty. Gold candelabras, mercury glass lanterns and votives, ornate plates and sparkling chargers adorned the reception tables for their Embassy Suites Wedding.

Pink peonies, deep red garden roses, mauve lisianthus, protea, olive, laurel were accented with fresh artichokes, figs and grapes to give an even more lush feel to the decor which differed from table to table encouraging guests to move about the room to see what riches each new display would reveal.

The sumptuous decor was provided by Wildflowers, LLC. They never cease to amaze us with their gorgeous and unique designs. Southern Events supplied the bride and groom with glittery, gorgeous deco designed dinnerware. Each guest place setting was accented with custom menus printed at The Write Impression. Further accents of olive branches and figs to further carried the design throughout.

Opulent Sweets

With an event as opulent as this, you must have a cake that is just as glamorous. As always, Jo’s Custom Cakes & Catering never ceases to delight. A feast for the eyes and taste buds! The guests were WOWed with their culinary artistry.

Delighting in layer after layer of red velvet, a traditional southern favorite, butter pecan, snickerdoodle and our very favorite maple bacon…that’s right folks. BACON. That flavor was the surprise hit of the evening!

The Happy Newlyweds

Weddings & Events by Raina ensured that not a single design detail was overlooked for their Embassy Suites wedding. We wanted to ensure that Sheena and Anthony’s unique sense of vintage style was spotlighted. Sheena is a lifestyle blogger with Love at Any Stage. She is also a master fashionista who fills her closet with vintage items sourced entirely from Goodwill. Anthony, a dapper gentleman, wearing a Gatsby worthy tux from Street Tuxedo, has a heart of gold. These two truly danced their way into our hearts that evening. We’ve been following their adventures in love and life ever since. Our favorites are Sheena’s Truth Tuesday posts. We love her raw honesty about love and life. At the same time Team HutchStew (Anthony’s last name is Hutchinson and Sheena’s is Steward) do their very best to change the world through random acts of kindness.

We were introduced to this amazing couple by Ivory Door Studio. They are photography and videography team that we simply LOVE to work with.
