When Stacie and Lew first contacted us they told us they wanted a sweet Tennessee elopement. We were so excited! They had clearly waited and waited and waited to meet each other. And now that they had, they didn’t want to wait any longer. Partnering with Elope In Tennessee, we were able to get them set up with everything that they would need. Offering packages that include flowers, a wedding cake, hair and makeup, their officiant, photographer, planner and even Oaklands Mansion, a stunning venue.

Selecting the stately Oaklands Mansion as the backdrop of their elopement we quickly began to make the necessary arrangements. We were thrilled that Oaklands Mansion also offered a Bridal Cottage and Grooms Room for them to get ready prior to the ceremony. With hair and makeup expertly styled by Glisson Med Spa & Salon, Stacie was truly a vision. Lew simply could not take his eyes off his bride!

Following a beautiful ceremony from our very own Weddings & Events by Raina officiant, Lew and Stacie couldn’t stop smiling and giggling like little children. They were quite clearly thrilled to finally be wed. We are so glad they chose to marry with our sister company Elope in Tennessee! Ivory Door Studio was there to take photos we know they will treasure. They shared so many special moments together on their wedding day.

Being big fans of history, Lew and Stacie were eager to explore the inside of the historic Oaklands Mansion. Built in 1820 and added on to by the Maney family up until 1860, there was quite a lot to see. Not surprisingly, however, they were quite drawn to the formal front parlor. This was the site of many weddings throughout history.

However, it may have been the delicious wedding cake from Julia’s Homestyle Bakery that was waiting for them that was the real draw. Sharing a sweet tooth, Stacie and Lew were every excited about their French vanilla and almond wedding cake with decadent strawberry filling.

Following a LOT of cake…we don’t blame them. It smelled delicious! Stacie decided it was time to take a little walk in the wetlands. She grabbed her beautiful bouquet, created for her by Larson Floral Co. and kicked off her shoes, ready to play in the grass. Lew had other romantic notions, however. Knowing his plan, we had their special song all queued up ready to play. Once he gave the signal, we hit play and they shared their first dance as husband and wife. Such a beautiful memory for them to share on their wedding day. We are so glad they chose to Elope In Tennessee!
